Iain Kent, co-chair of CQIC, speaking at the joint GIRI/CQIC meeting which launched CQIC
The Get It Right Initiative (GIRI) has published an article which details and supports the CQIC vision, as explained by the co-chair of CQIC, Iain Kent. Iain highlighted that CQIC has the aim to put quality at the heart of decision-making across the sector. Speaking at the joint event held by GIRI and CQIC in February, that marked the launch of the CQIC and the Construction Quality Charter, Iain stated, “CQIC shares a vision for the sector that puts quality at the heart of decision-making to create a sustainable quality culture. To achieve this we need the whole industry to engage with us, to collaborate with us, and to commit to the Charter.”
GIRI is a group of UK construction industry experts, organisations and businesses committed to actively improving productivity, quality, sustainability, and safety in the construction sector by eliminating error. It is a not-for-profit membership organisation that has adopted a multi-disciplinary approach to tackling error. GIRI members include clients, consultants, contractors, regulators, educators, professional institutions, and trade bodies who are working together, across the sector, to raise awareness about the impact of error and to eliminate it. The work of GIRI both supports and complements that of the CQIC.
