CQIC was delighted to recently receive confirmation from RICS of their support for the initiative and for the Construction Quality Charter which is at the heart of the CQIC work to create a sustainable quality culture across construction in Scotland.

Gary Strong, Global Building Standards Director & Interim Head of Construction Standards at RICS said, “Imbedding a quality culture into industry-wide practice is an important initiative, and it is something the RICS and its members strive to do through the standards we uphold. Quality in building should be present in every development and must underpin the whole of the project lifecycle from start to finish.

Reinforcing quality and safety in the built environment is so important, and we are happy to partner with and support the CQIC in this regard. This is a significant cross-industry initiative, which will enable construction industry professionals to achieve better long-term outcomes across Scotland.”

CQIC look forward to working with RICS and its members as we take forward the work of the initiative.
