Commercial Director, the Scottish Building Federation (SBF)
Ian, a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, joined Scottish Building Federation (SBF) in 2008 having spent the previous 30 years working in both Private Practice and with a National Main Contractor. He was appointed Commercial Director of SBF in 2013 and, in this current role, he provides business support services, mainly relating to contractual and legal issues to the membership of SBF together with addressing Client concerns in the domestic market when things do not go according to plan. Given his role he sees first hand many of the issues impacting the industry, construction quality being one of them.
